Mayor Abby Binay distributes laptops to Makati teachers as part of education initiative

Mayor Abby Binay launched the distribution of laptops for teachers and teaching staff at Nemesio I. Yabut Elementary School as part of Makati's initiative to improve educational resources and emergency readiness in public schools.

A total of 1,410 laptops will be given to teachers and teaching-related personnel in Makati's public schools to support modern teaching methods and efficiency.

Mayor Binay emphasized that providing laptops is a vital part of Makati's education strategy, allowing teachers to plan lessons, access online resources, and manage workloads more efficiently.

Alongside the laptops, school supplies, emergency kits, and other necessities were distributed to public school students.

Binay highlighted the administration's efforts to reduce financial burdens on parents by providing free meals, uniforms, and shoes through Project FEED, ensuring students have no reason not to attend school.

Emergency readiness initiatives are being integrated into the city's educational programs to enhance disaster preparedness ahead of the new school year.
