Masbate Gold Project achieves 7 years without Lost Time Injury

The Masbate Gold Project (MGP), operated by Filminera Resources Corporation and Phil. Gold Processing & Refining Corp., has achieved a seven-year milestone without a Lost Time Injury (LTI), accumulating 2,557 days and over 44.9 million worker hours.

Phil. Gold is a subsidiary of B2Gold Corp., which also holds a 40% interest in the Filipino company Filminera that operates the mine.

Ryan Rusk, president of Phil. Gold, stated this achievement is a rare accomplishment in a high-risk industry and a testament to collective commitment to worker safety.

Cris Acosta, president of Filminera, highlighted that the milestone was reached through hard work and vigilance, emphasizing that safety is a culture lived daily at MGP.

This seven-year record was supported by extensive safety initiatives including over 20,000 pre-start safety talks, nearly 9,500 workplace inspections, and over 5,000 corrective actions identified and addressed.
