Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings to star in Netflix rom-com 'Sosyal Climbers'

Kapamilya actors Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings will lead the upcoming Netflix film "Sosyal Climbers," a romantic comedy set to premiere on February 27.

The movie's trailer reveals that the plot revolves around a couple who adopt fake identities to scam wealthy individuals in a posh neighborhood called Vineyard Hills.

Driven by significant debt, Racal and Jennings' characters must maintain their pretense and exploit their affluent neighbors' marital issues for financial gain.

The trailer shows Maris and Anthony attempting to "scam their way to happiness" in a massive house pretending to be a couple named Penelope and Kiefer Regalado, supposed graduates of international schools.

The film continues the on-screen partnership of Racal and Jennings, who first gained traction as a pair in the 2023 series "Can't Buy Me Love" and are currently starring together in "Incognito."

This is one of the pair's two projects after their cheating controversy involving Jennings' ex-girlfriend Jam Villanueva made headlines in December 2024, with both actors having addressed the issue.
