Marilyn's condition had deteriorated significantly, with her blood oxygen level dropping to 46 due to severe pneumonia, requiring intubation.

Geneva previously organized an online fundraising event to support her mother's medical treatment on April 11.

Cruz stated that her mother appeared to be getting better last week, as she was no longer placed in critical care and was able to watch TV again.

Hours prior to her announcement of her mother's death, Cruz told her fans that her mother suffered from severe pneumonia and needed to be intubated.

She showed a photo of Marilyn smiling as they talked through a video call on her Instagram page.

The singer expressed gratitude to those who prayed and supported her family during this difficult time.
