Marikina forms COVID-19 vaccine task force

Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro has established the Marikina City COVID-19 Vaccination Task Force through Executive Order No. 1, Series of 2021.

The task force, chaired by the mayor and co-chaired by the vice-mayor, includes eight medical experts and city department heads.

Its primary function is to assess and evaluate the effectiveness and safety of vaccines to be acquired by the city.

The task force will also formulate eligibility criteria to match suitable vaccines with priority population sectors.

It will identify and profile target populations for immunization, aligning with national guidelines and expert recommendations.

The team will maintain a master list of eligible individuals and groups.

Furthermore, the task force is tasked with acquiring authorized COVID-19 vaccines in collaboration with the national government.
