Marcos reaffirms commitment to cleanse bureaucracy

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. reaffirmed his administration's commitment to cleansing the government bureaucracy to restore public trust.

Speaking at the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos' awarding ceremony, Marcos acknowledged the anti-corruption campaign is difficult but worthwhile.

He highlighted the 10 Outstanding Filipinos as embodiments of hope and integrity in public service, proving that honor still defines what it means to be Filipino.

Marcos personally presented medallions to the ten outstanding individuals, including four teachers recognized for their exemplary service.

Previously, Marcos initiated investigations into anomalies in infrastructure projects, particularly flood control programs, citing instances where public funds were misused by officials.
