Marcos: PHL won't tolerate disrespect to sovereignty

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. declared that the Philippines will not tolerate any disrespect towards its sovereignty, emphasizing the nation's commitment to safeguarding its maritime rights.

He affirmed the administration's dedication to protecting the Philippines' maritime zones and exercising its rights in accordance with international law.

This statement was made during the Philippine Navy's 127th anniversary, which had the theme: "Philippine Navy: Addressing Challenges, Promoting Regional Stability, and Strengthening Maritime Security."

Marcos also highlighted the importance of international law and the Philippines' role as a responsible member of the global community.

The President pledged to ensure a future-ready Armed Forces of the Philippines and commended the Navy's contribution to the orderly conduct of Eleksyon 2025.

The new article also reports that three Chinese research vessels were monitored within the Philippines' exclusive economic zone (EEZ) over the past three weeks, according to the Philippine Coast Guard.
