Marcos Jr. urges Filipinos to prioritize disaster preparedness

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is urging Filipinos to prepare for potential disasters, especially given the Philippines' location in the Pacific Ring of Fire.

He emphasized that disaster preparedness should become second nature to Filipinos, not just disaster response and recovery.

Marcos highlighted the importance of having a family plan, including designated evacuation areas and meeting points.

He stressed that all family members, including children and household help, should be aware of and understand this plan.

The President also advised families to prepare a 'go-bag' containing essential documents, food, water, medicines, and other emergency supplies.
