PBBM reorganizes ED Council

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reorganized the Economic and Development Council (ED Council) through Administrative Order No. 37, effective retroactively from April 27, 2025.

The Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs (SAPIEA) is now a member of the ED Council and represents the Office of the President in key committees.

SAPIEA is designated as the chairperson of the ED Council, with the secretaries of the Department of Economic Planning and Development (DEPDev) and the Department of Finance (DOF) as vice chairpersons.

The Secretary of Finance was also designated as co-chairperson of the Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC), alongside the Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management.

Additionally, the Secretary of Agrarian Reform, the Director-General of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and the lead convenor of the National Anti-Poverty Commission were appointed as members of the Social Development Committee (SDC).
