Marcos Jr. orders visible police presence for safe holidays

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. directed law enforcers to maintain a visible and reassuring presence throughout the holiday season to ensure public safety and peace.

He emphasized the need for heightened security and vigilance as more people are out in public and families travel during this festive period.

Marcos instructed the police to be present in various locations, including roads, public spaces, transport hubs, and communities.

He reminded the 50 star-ranked officers of the Philippine National Police (PNP) who took their oath before him that their institution's credibility is at stake in every decision they make.

The President highlighted that ensuring citizens' safety would allow everyone to genuinely experience the joy and spirit of Christmas.

Marcos reminded the officers that public service continues even during celebrations, encouraging them to serve with honor and lead with purpose.
