PBBM meets new Belgian and UK ambassadors, eyes stronger ties

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. met with the new Belgian Ambassador, Vladislava Iordanova, and UK Ambassador, Sarah Hulton, expressing optimism for enhanced bilateral relations.

Marcos conveyed his hope for continued and strengthened cooperation with Belgium across all levels, from people-to-people interactions to government-to-government exchanges.

Ambassador Iordanova affirmed her commitment to deepening the existing friendship and cooperation, noting Brussels' continued interest in expanding development and trade ties with Manila.

Diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Belgium were established on July 4, 1946.

During the meeting with Ambassador Hulton, President Marcos recognized the United Kingdom as a steadfast partner of the Philippines whose relationship has "stood the test of time."

Ambassador Hulton conveyed condolences for victims of recent natural disasters and vowed to bolster collaboration on growth, climate, and security priorities.
