Marcos Jr. leads presidential race, Robredo gains ground in Pulse Asia poll

Ferdinand Marcos Jr. maintained his lead in the presidential race according to a March 2022 Pulse Asia survey, though his numbers saw a slight decrease.

Vice President Leni Robredo experienced a significant increase in her voter preference, rising by 9 percentage points.

The survey indicated that 56% of voters would choose Marcos Jr. if elections were held during the survey period, down from 4% in February.

Robredo's rating climbed to 24% from 15% in the previous month, positioning her as Marcos Jr.'s closest rival.

Manila Mayor Isko Moreno, Senator Manny Pacquiao, and Senator Ping Lacson followed with 8%, 6%, and 2% respectively.

Pulse Asia's Research Director Ana Maria Tabunda observed that the May 2022 presidential election is now more of a two-way race between Marcos Jr. and Robredo.

Tabunda advised waiting for the survey results closest to the election day, with another survey to be released in late April or early May.
