PBBM leads inauguration of 20-story San Lazaro Residences in Manila

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. inaugurated the San Lazaro Residences in Sta. Cruz, Manila, a 20-story socialized vertical housing project designed to expand urban housing supply.

The project, located at the corner of Quiricada and Alvarez Streets, offers 382 residential units, which will benefit close to 400 families, and includes space for the Manila Public Health Laboratory and the Lanuza Health Center.

Residential units are situated from the fifth to 20th floors, complemented by amenities such as a swimming pool, function room, and activity areas.

President Marcos lauded the Manila city government for its efforts in providing housing for underprivileged citizens and government employees with Salary Grade 18 and below, as mandated by the Manila Urban Housing Ordinance.

He expressed hope that this successful project could be replicated by other local government units (LGUs) across the country, praising the speed of its construction.

Beneficiaries for the housing units are selected through a pre-qualification process and raffle, with a dedicated committee handling appeals and assessments.
