Marck Espejo rejoins Alas Pilipinas training camp in Europe

Marck Espejo has rejoined the Alas Pilipinas men's training camp in Europe after recovering from an ankle injury, strengthening the national team for their upcoming hosting of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship.

The 28-year-old outside hitter, a former UAAP MVP, sustained his injury in June during the AVC Men's Volleyball Nations Cup in Bahrain.

Espejo expressed his commitment to catching up with the team's preparations, emphasizing a day-by-day approach to his recovery and reintegration.

He described the Alas Pilipinas squad as well-balanced, featuring experienced veterans like team captain Bryan Bagunas, who is also recovering from a knee injury, alongside energetic younger players.

Alas is currently in Santo, Tirso, Portugal, wrapping up its three-country training camp.

The Filipino Spikers, now ranked No. 77 in the world, won two of three tune-up matches against the national team of world No. 81 Morocco and took a set from the Romanian national squad.
