Villar leads 15 Filipinos on Forbes' 2025 World's Richest list

Property magnate Manuel Villar leads 15 Filipinos on Forbes' 2025 World's Richest People list with a net worth of $17.2 billion, ranking 117th globally.

Forbes based its rankings on stock prices and exchange rates as of March 7, and the number of billionaires grew by 247 compared to last year.

The United States has the most billionaires with 902, followed by China with 516, and India with 205.

Enrique Razon Jr. is the second wealthiest Filipino with $10.9 billion, ranking 227th globally.

San Miguel Corp. chair Ramon Ang is the third richest Filipino with $3.7 billion, ranking 979th globally.

Six children of the late SM group founder Henry Sy Sr. are individually listed as billionaires, with Henry Jr. having the highest net worth among them at $2.3 billion, ranking 1573rd.

Other Filipinos on the list include Hans Sy at No. 1,626 with $2.2 billion and Herbert Sy at No. 1,688 with $2.1 billion.

The list includes new addition Eusebio Tanco with $1.2 billion, along with Andrew Tan, Lucio Co, Susan Co, and Tony Tan Caktiong.

A total of 15 Filipinos were included in the list, one less than the previous year.
