Manny Villar leads 14 Filipinos in Forbes' 2023 billionaires list

Real estate tycoon Manny Villar Jr. leads 14 Filipinos in Forbes' 2023 World's Billionaires List, ranking as the 232nd richest person globally with a net worth of $8.6 billion.

Villar's primary asset is his stake in Golden MV Holdings, which focuses on mass housing and memorial parks, and he also chairs Vista Land & Lifescapes.

Enrique Razon Jr., chair of International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) and Bloomberry Resorts Corporation, is the second wealthiest Filipino with $7.3 billion, ranking 312th worldwide.

Ramon Ang, president and chairman of San Miguel Corporation, is the third wealthiest Filipino with $3.4 billion, ranking 852nd globally.

The heirs of the late Henry Sy Sr. and Andrew Tan are tied for fourth place among Filipinos with $2.5 billion each, ranking 1,217th globally.

Other members of the Sy family and tycoon Lucio Tan also made the list with net worths between $2.2 billion and $2.4 billion.
