Manny Pacquiao rejects Isko Moreno's call for Leni Robredo to withdraw

Presidential aspirant Manny Pacquiao, through his campaign manager Buddy Zamora, rejected Manila Mayor Isko Moreno's call for Vice President Leni Robredo to withdraw from the presidential race.

Pacquiao believes the choice of who should be president is up to the people.

Moreno, along with Senators Ping Lacson and Norberto Gonzales, had previously urged Robredo to step down, asserting her candidacy was ineffective against Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Lacson later clarified that he did not share Moreno's sentiment regarding Robredo's withdrawal.

Pacquiao's camp clarified his intention to attend the press conference, stating he had promised to join but was delayed due to flight issues.

This contradicts a statement made by Pacquiao's vice presidential aspirant, Lito Atienza, who said Pacquiao never intended to attend the press conference.

Zamora expressed relief that Pacquiao was unable to attend the event due to the delay, calling it divine intervention.
