Manila vaccinates over 10k front-liners against COVID-19

Manila has vaccinated over 10,000 front-liners against COVID-19, achieving a significant benchmark.

Personnel from the Manila Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office, social workers, Barangay Health Emergency Response Teams, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology officers are among those vaccinated.

These individuals are categorized under Priority Group A1.1 to A1.7, as identified by the National COVID-19 Vaccination Operations Center, following WHO and DOH prioritization policies.

The city aims to inoculate individuals with both AstraZeneca and Sinovac vaccines.

Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso expressed happiness for the vaccinated workers and noted that city officials are not yet included in the current priority groups.

Domagoso urged those in priority groups to get vaccinated promptly while supplies are available.
