Manila opens largest COVID-19 quarantine facility at PLM

The city of Manila has opened its 14th and largest quarantine facility at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM), with a capacity of 66 beds to accommodate COVID-19 positive patients.

Mayor Francisco 'Isko Moreno' Domagoso stated this new facility is the biggest one built by the city government to date and is equipped with 16 air-conditioning units, electric fans, free food, and WiFi.

The PLM facility was built in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways to ensure comfortable accommodations for patients and designated health workers.

This establishment is part of Manila's ongoing efforts to combat the pandemic by setting up quarantine facilities in anticipation of a surge in infections, especially in the densely populated capital.

The city government assures residents that they will be taken care of should they contract COVID-19, continuing its commitment through free mass testing and providing food assistance to affected families.
