Malacañang releases 2026 holiday list

Malacañang has declared the official list of regular holidays and special non-working days for 2026 through Proclamation No. 1006, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

Regular holidays in 2026 include New Year's Day, Maundy Thursday (April 2), Good Friday (April 3), Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9), Labor Day (May 1), Independence Day (June 12), National Heroes Day (August 31), Bonifacio Day (November 30), Christmas Day (December 25), and Rizal Day (December 30).

Special non-working days are Ninoy Aquino Day (August 21), All Saints' Day (November 1), the Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary (December 8), and the Last Day of the Year (December 31).

Additional special non-working days have been designated for Chinese New Year (February 17), Black Saturday (April 4), All Souls' Day (November 2), and Christmas Eve (December 24).

The EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary on February 25, 2026, is a special working day, meaning work and classes will proceed as normal.

The dates for Eidul Fitr and Eidul Adha will be announced later, determined by the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos based on the Islamic calendar.
