Makati prosecutors dismiss Pacquiao's cyber libel complaint vs Quiboloy

Makati prosecutors have dismissed the cyber libel complaint filed by Senator Manny Pacquiao against Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, citing Pacquiao's failure to prove malice.

The complaint stemmed from Quiboloy's statements, disseminated by SMNI News, alleging Pacquiao misused P3.5 billion in funds for the Sarangani Sports Training Center.

Pacquiao's lawyer, Nikki de Vega, expressed disagreement with the dismissal, noting it occurred without Quiboloy submitting a counter-affidavit.

Pacquiao is considering withdrawing his motion for reconsideration for the cyber libel case to expedite Quiboloy's extradition to the US.

This action is prioritized by Pacquiao to allow the US government to proceed with charging Quiboloy for alleged sex trafficking.

Quiboloy, who denies the charges, is set to face trial in a US federal grand jury in California for alleged sex trafficking and money laundering.
