Makati promotes over 2,600 workers, grants permanent status to 1,695 casuals

Makati Mayor Abby Binay has significantly enhanced job security and career progression for city hall employees, granting permanent status to 1,695 casual workers and promoting 914 regular staff since 2017.

The initiative aims to foster a motivated workforce, which Mayor Binay believes is essential for delivering excellent public service.

Further bolstering employment stability, the city converted 698 job order personnel to casual status and promoted 704 casual employees.

The administration also celebrated long-serving employees, with 207 workers recognized for 30 to 45 years of service and receiving awards and cash gifts.

Additionally, the Loyalty Service Award program, established in 2016, provides financial incentives for employees with at least 10 years of continuous service, with the city having disbursed P83.5 million for these incentives since its inception.
