Makati police nab 2, seize P1.4M in vape cartridges with illegal drugs

Anti-drug operatives in Makati City have arrested two individuals, identified as "Lulu," 37, and "Pinky," 46, and seized P1.4 million worth of suspected illegal drugs, primarily vape cartridges containing "tsongki oil," in a sting operation in Barangay Bel-Air.

The operation, conducted by the Makati City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and Sub-Station 6, was initiated after an undercover buyer purchased the illegal items.

Authorities confiscated 101 vape cartridges labeled "Pop! Carts" valued at P1,393,000, along with other vape cartridges, a disposable vape, shabu, and ecstasy valued at P15,150.

The suspects, a cryptocurrency investor and a call center agent, will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

A third suspect, alias "Jake," managed to escape during the operation.
