Makati collects P15B in revenues by April, hitting 82% of target

Makati City has collected P15 billion in revenues as of April 2025, achieving 82% of its annual target.

Internally generated revenues reached P14.24 billion, comprising P8.73 billion in business taxes and P4.89 billion in real property taxes.

The city registered 1,962 new businesses and renewed permits for 35,019 existing businesses between January and May 2025.

New businesses reported P28.25 billion in investment capital, while existing businesses had over P2.07 trillion in gross sales.

Mayor Abby Binay attributed the city's strong financial performance to digital governance initiatives, which enhance efficiency and transparency.

These digital efforts have streamlined processes and fostered greater business confidence, contributing to sustained revenue over the past nine years.

Makati's commitment to good governance and transparency has sustained its position as a premier investment destination.
