Majority of Filipinos worried about Covid-19 vaccine safety

A church-based survey by Radio Veritas revealed that a significant majority of Filipinos are concerned about the safety of Covid-19 vaccines.

The Veritas Truth Survey (VTS) found that 67 percent of respondents are worried about potential side effects of the vaccines.

Seventeen percent of those surveyed prioritized vaccine efficacy, while 8 percent were concerned about the country of origin for the vaccines.

Only a small percentage, 6 percent, sought testimonies from vaccinated individuals, and 2 percent were interested in the vaccine's purpose.

The VTS collected data from 1,200 respondents nationwide between January 4 to 22 through text and online methods.

The survey's chief strategist emphasized the need for the government to provide clear, scientifically-based information to build trust in the vaccination program.
