Magnolia stays undefeated in PBA Philippine Cup after OT win vs SMB

Magnolia maintained its undefeated record, now at 3-0, after a hard-fought 98-95 overtime victory against San Miguel Beer in the PBA Season 49 Philippine Cup.

Veteran guard Mark Barroca, after a difficult shooting night in regulation, sank crucial shots in overtime, including the go-ahead basket, to secure the win for Magnolia.

Zav Lucero led Magnolia with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Jerom Lastimosa contributed 21 points.

The Hotshots rallied from a 14-point deficit in the third quarter, with coach Chito Victolero crediting the team's "grit and determination" and the energy from the bench.

Magnolia's win puts them in the solo lead as they head into the Holy Week break, while San Miguel drops to a 2-1 record.

Calvin Abueva recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, with Peter Alfaro and Paul Lee also scoring in double figures.
