Magnolia defeats Terrafirma 104-93, ties TNT at top of PBA standings

Magnolia secured a 104-93 victory over Terrafirma in the PBA Philippine Cup, tying TNT at the top of the standings with a 3-1 record.

The Hotshots unleashed a strong 29-17 run in the final quarter to overcome a deficit and secure their third consecutive win.

Veteran Mark Barroca, who finished with 17 points, scored 11 in the fourth quarter to lead Magnolia's breakaway, making all eight of his field-goal attempts and his lone free throw.

Jerom Lastimosa provided support with 16 points.

The win allowed Magnolia to get back on track after a previous loss to Meralco, while Terrafirma fell to a 1-3 record.

Converge also notched its second consecutive win against Phoenix, also holding a 3-1 record, while Phoenix dropped to 1-3.

Magnolia's defensive focus was evident in the fourth quarter, limiting Terrafirma to 17 points in the final period.
