Magbuhos' birthday buzzer-beater lifts Adamson over Ateneo

Vince Magbuhos celebrated his 24th birthday with a game-winning buzzer-beater three-pointer, securing a thrilling 74-71 overtime victory for Adamson against defending champion Ateneo in the UAAP Season 86.

Magbuhos contributed 11 points, including the dagger, on 3-of-5 three-point shooting, adding three rebounds and three assists.

Cedrick Manzano delivered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Eli Ramos also scored 12 points.

This victory marks Adamson's second consecutive overtime win and their first win against Ateneo since 2018.

Adamson mounted a significant comeback, overcoming a 19-point deficit in the first half, and eventually winning the game.

Magbuhos mentioned that he prayed for a win on his birthday, and his prayers were answered after a broken play led to his game-winning shot.
