Luisa San Juan drops 10 three-pointers to set new UAAP record

Luisa San Juan set a new UAAP record by sinking 10 three-pointers, scoring 34 points to lead the La Salle Lady Archers to an 89-65 victory over the FEU Lady Tamaraws.

Her 10 three-pointers broke the previous record of eight triples set by Khate Castillo in October 2017.

San Juan also tied the league record held by Allan Caidic and Jeff Napa.

Her 34-point output matched Ateneo's Kacey dela Rosa's performance on September 8.

San Juan expressed gratitude to her teammates and coaches for their trust and confidence, stating, "I don't know the records, but I'm grateful. I wasn't expecting that, I just do my role and I think it starts with kung ano pinapagawa samin ni Coach Cholo (Villanueva)."

San Juan also contributed six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Patricia Mendoza added 16 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocks, and two steals.

The win ended La Salle's four-game slump and improved their record to 1-4, while FEU's record also dropped to 1-4.
