LTO revokes driver's license of motovlogger in fatal Marilaque stunt

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has ordered the revocation of the driver's license of Rico Akmad Buyawan, the surviving motovlogger involved in the viral "Superman stunt" along Marilaque Highway.

The decision follows an investigation that found Buyawan liable for reckless driving and guilty of being an improper person to operate a motor vehicle.

The incident on January 28 resulted in the death of fellow motovlogger John Louie Arguelles and injuries to six other riders resting alongside the road.

LTO chief Vigor Mendoza emphasized that a driver's license is a privilege that entails responsibility for road safety.

He also stated that public roads are not suitable for dangerous stunts that endanger others' lives, urging riders to learn from this incident.
