LTO extends license, registration renewal deadlines to Oct 3

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the deadlines for vehicle registration and driver's license renewals until October 3, 2025.

This extension is in response to President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' R. Marcos Jr.'s directive to aid citizens affected by recent weather disturbances.

The decision follows the cancellation of government work in Metro Manila and other areas due to typhoons and heavy rains.

LTO offices are instructed to waive penalties for late renewals within the extended period.

The fifteen-day period for settling traffic apprehension cases effective September 26, 2025, has also been extended to October 3, 2025.

Typhoon 'Opong,' along with tropical cyclones 'Mirasol' and 'Nando,' caused significant disruptions and work suspensions.
