LTFRB warns against fake PUV documents

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is issuing a stern warning to public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers and operators who are using fake Provisional Authority (PA) and Certificate of Public Conveyance (CPC) documents.

LTFRB chairperson Vigor Mendoza II stated that they are actively receiving reports about the proliferation of these fake documents, particularly in provincial areas.

To address this issue and ensure road safety and commuter welfare, the LTFRB is collaborating with other law enforcement agencies to conduct random document checks on PUVs.

Mendoza emphasized that their efforts include integrating technology through digitalization alongside aggressive law enforcement actions.

He warned individuals involved in this illegal activity to cease their operations, stating that they will face severe legal consequences and numerous cases if apprehended.
