LTFRB orders PGT to explain PWD assault on EDSA Busway

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has issued a show cause order to Precious Grace Transport (PGT) after a viral video depicted a person with disability (PWD) being assaulted by a bus conductor and passengers on one of its units along the EDSA Busway.

The bus involved, with license plate number NDQ 2615, had Mark Ivan Ramos as the driver and Francis Sauro as the conductor.

In response to the incident, the LTFRB summoned PGT officials to explain why their Certificate of Public Convenience should not be suspended or revoked.

LTFRB Chairperson Teofilo Guadiz III stated that the agency will not tolerate any acts of violence, discrimination, or abuse, especially against PWDs, as public utility operators are obligated to ensure passenger safety and dignity.

Additionally, the LTFRB has ordered a 30-day preventive suspension for 10 of PGT's bus units operating on the EDSA Carousel.
