LRT-1 Roosevelt Station to temporarily close for common station construction

The LRT-1 Roosevelt Station will be temporarily closed from September 5 to December 28, 2020, to allow for the construction of the Unified Grand Central Station.

This common station aims to connect the LRT-1, MRT-3, and MRT-7 rail systems.

The LRT1 operator initially planned to provide a shuttle train for passengers, but this was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the closure, the Balintawak station will serve as the last northbound stop for LRT-1 passengers, with the line operating from Baclaran to Balintawak.

All other LRT-1 stations from Baclaran to Balintawak will remain operational.

Area B of the common station, linking Areas A (LRT1) and C (MRT7), has been completed by North Triangle Depot Commercial Corporation, while Areas A and C are still under construction.
