LPU stays undefeated in NCAA basketball after beating San Beda

Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) secured their sixth consecutive victory in the NCAA Season 99 Men's Basketball Tournament by narrowly defeating San Beda University with a score of 67-62.

McLaude Guadana led LPU with 12 points, supported by Renz Villegas (11 points), Enoch Valdez (10 points), and John Barba (10 points).

PBA-bound swingman Enoch Valdez sealed the win for the Pirates by intercepting a pass and converting on a one-handed breakaway slam with less than 30 seconds remaining.

Jacob Cortez was the top scorer for San Beda with 23 points.

This loss drops San Beda's record to 3-2, while Lyceum remains undefeated at 6-0.

The Arellano Chiefs also entered the winning column after five matches and handed the defending champion Letran Knights their fifth loss in as many outings with an 87-80 victory.
