LPA to bring scattered rains over Metro Manila, Visayas, and other areas

A low-pressure area (LPA) spotted over the coastal waters of Mapanas, Northern Samar is expected to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, Visayas, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Zamboanga del Norte.

The trough of the LPA may also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

Easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to the rest of Luzon.

Flash floods or landslides may occur due to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.

Moderate winds with moderate waters are expected over the eastern sections of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon.

Light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas may prevail over the rest of the country.

The LPA is projected to move over Southern Luzon or the Visayas and may reach the West Philippine Sea by Monday before exiting the country by Tuesday.
