LPA, Habagat to bring rains nationwide

PAGASA reported that a Low Pressure Area (LPA) east of Eastern Samar and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will continue to bring rains across the Philippines.

The LPA was last located 675 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar, enhancing the Habagat.

This weather system is causing cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms in Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Quezon, and Rizal.

The Habagat will also bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Zamboanga Peninsula, Camiguin, Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Islands, the rest of Visayas, Central Luzon, and CALABARZON.

PAGASA has warned of possible flash floods and landslides in these areas due to moderate to heavy rainfall.

The rest of Northern Mindanao and Caraga will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Localized thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon or evening for the rest of the country.
