LPA and easterlies to bring scattered rains across PH

A low-pressure area (LPA) and easterlies are expected to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms across the Philippines on Monday, September 15, 2025.

The LPA was last observed 235 kilometers west of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

Pagasa weather specialist Daniel Villamil stated that the LPA's rainfall is not expected to be continuous.

The LPA has an unlikely chance to develop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Most of Luzon, including Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa, will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA.

Western Visayas will also experience these conditions due to the LPA.

Easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms to Cagayan Valley and extreme Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
