Lipa Archbishop, Caritas Manila director test positive for COVID-19

Archbishop Gilbert Garcera of Lipa and Fr. Anton Pascual, executive director of Caritas Manila, have both tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently undergoing treatment.

Archbishop Garcera confirmed his positive test result in a circular dated March 20, stating that he and some priests are in a health-managed condition and receiving medical treatment.

He expressed gratitude for the well wishes and prayers received, urging priests to offer Masses, Holy Hours, and Rosaries for their recovery and for an end to the pandemic.

Fr. Pascual, meanwhile, is recuperating at Cardinal Santos Medical Center in San Juan City, according to Church-run Radio Veritas.
