Letran survives Perpetual Help in triple OT for third straight win

Colegio de San Juan de Letran secured their third consecutive victory in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament by defeating University of Perpetual Help in a triple-overtime match, 82-73.

Deo Cuajao led Letran with 19 points, playing nearly 49 minutes, supported by Nat Montecillo (14 points), Jimboy Estrada (12 points, 15 rebounds, 7 assists), Kevin Santos (12 points), and Joseph Nunag (11 points).

Kevin Santos forced the first overtime with a putback in the final seconds of regulation, with Letran holding a 52-50 deficit.

Santos also tied the game at 60-60 in the first overtime with a basket, sending the game into a second overtime.

Nat Montecillo's triple in the second overtime tied the score at 65-68, leading to the third overtime period.

Letran's victory secured them the solo second spot with a 5-2 record, while Perpetual dropped to 4-3.

University of Perpetual Help was led by Chris Pagaran and John Boral with 14 points each and Shawn Orgo with 11 points.
