He described the healing process as difficult but ultimately rewarding, emphasizing the positive impact on his gender dysphoria and mental health.

Nic expressed gratitude for receiving gender-affirming care and hopes that sharing his experience highlights its importance, coinciding with Transgender Awareness Week.

He also extended his thanks to his parents, Lea Salonga and Robert Chien, for their unwavering support throughout his transition journey.

Previously, Nic had shared in an interview that he recognized his identity as transgender at age 14 and began testosterone therapy in January.
