Lawyer asks SC to compel disclosure of Duterte's health

Lawyer Dino De Leon has asked the Supreme Court to compel the government to disclose President Rodrigo Duterte's health condition.

He urged the SC to act on his appeal after it rejected his previous petition to disclose Duterte's health condition and requested oral arguments.

De Leon stated that rumors about Duterte's health could have been avoided if the government had divulged his health condition.

He believes the public deserves to know if the leader is still fit to govern, especially during the pandemic.

De Leon argued that the nation needs to be protected from a feeble government during the current health crisis.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque had previously denied claims that Duterte left the country and stated the President was in isolation.

Senator Bong Go shared a photo of Duterte with his family, and the President appeared in a televised briefing to announce quarantine classifications.
