Las Piñas adds fresh veggies to food packs for quarantined residents

The Las Piñas City government, under Mayor Imelda Aguilar, is enhancing its distributed food packs for quarantined residents by including fresh vegetables.

These vegetables, sourced from Nueva Ecija, consist of items such as squash, sweet potato, cabbage, sayote, and potatoes.

The city has already distributed over 25,000 food packs, which also contain rice, canned goods, and noodles, to residents in 10 barangays with a high concentration of informal workers.

Mayor Aguilar also advised residents to consume nutritious food during the crisis to maintain good health and avoid excessive sugar, salt, artificial flavors, and preservatives.

She reiterated the importance of staying at home, practicing physical distancing, maintaining hygiene, exercising, and cooperating with health protocols to contain the spread of COVID-19.
