Larga Pilipinas cycling event moved to Nov 29 due to typhoon recovery

The Larga Pilipinas cycling event has been postponed to November 29 due to road damage and ongoing recovery efforts in Northern Luzon following recent typhoons.

Race organizers cited the closure of Kennon Road and one-way traffic on Marcos Highway as key factors in the decision.

Inclement weather has also led to isolated race terminals in Northern Luzon.

The six-stage event was initially set to begin on August 2.

Race operations executive Snow Badua confirmed the postponement, noting that the weather in November is expected to be more favorable for safe racing.

Badua also stated that the postponement allows local government units to focus on addressing the aftermath of the typhoons.

The decision was made in coordination with various LGUs and upon the advice of PhilCycling president Abraham Tolentino.

All participating teams, including those from abroad, have been informed of the rescheduling.
