Lacson to Dizon: DPWH corruption evidence to be presented

Senator Panfilo Lacson will provide Secretary Vince Dizon with evidence of corruption within the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

Lacson plans to present "damning evidence" against "low-hanging rotten fruits" in the DPWH to deter corrupt practices.

He will deliver the second part of his privilege speech, "Flooded Gates of Corruption," on September 10.

Previously, Lacson alleged that sacked district engineers Henry Alcantara and Bryce Hernandez were part of a syndicate involved in ghost and flood control projects in Bulacan.

Hernandez was summoned by the Senate for snubbing a Blue Ribbon committee hearing.

Alcantara admitted to going to casinos with Hernandez, which is prohibited for government officials.

Senator JV Ejercito is looking forward to questioning two other Bulacan district engineers, Hernandez and Jaypee Mendoza, who are allegedly Alcantara's accomplices.
