Labor leader condemns smear campaign against Robredo's daughter

Labor leader Leody de Guzman condemned the malicious smear campaign against Aika Robredo, eldest daughter of presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo.

De Guzman described the attack, which involved a fake scandalous video, as a "clear violation" and a form of "rotten politics."

He specifically pointed to the factions of Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and President Rodrigo Duterte as the originators of such tactics, citing a similar incident involving Senator Leila de Lima.

Vice President Robredo had earlier accused the Marcos camp of orchestrating the smear campaign against her daughter, an accusation denied by Marcos spokesperson Vic Rodriguez.

De Guzman refuted Rodriguez's claim that the video originated from the Robredo camp, calling the allegation "absurd" and questioning why they would attack someone they support.
