LA Tenorio set to become player-coach for Magnolia Hotshots

LA Tenorio is poised to become a player-coach for the Magnolia Hotshots, a move that could see him become the first since Robert Jaworski Sr. to hold such a dual role.

Tenorio confirmed his inclusion in the team's lineup and is currently on the injured list, awaiting management's decision on whether he will play.

He has been actively participating in team practices and scrimmages, preparing for the possibility of a playing-coach position.

This potential role comes after Tenorio's departure from Barangay Ginebra, clarifying that his prior social media activity was not an announcement of retirement.

San Miguel Corporation appointed Tenorio in July to lead the Hotshots, aiming to revitalize the franchise that last won in the 2018 Governors' Cup.

While Tenorio is focused on coaching, SMC sports director Alfrancis Chua has not ruled out the possibility of him fulfilling a dual role.
