LA Mumar explains unvaccinated stance, says no to special treatment

LA Mumar, brother of Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto and coach of the Ateneo women's basketball team, explained his and his wife's decision to remain unvaccinated against COVID-19.

Mumar stated that neither he, his mother Coney Reyes, nor his brother Vico skipped the line for vaccines.

He questioned why he should take advantage of his connections when others have not.

Mumar believes people should uphold their values and do what is right, especially during difficult times, to set a good example for their children.

He emphasized the importance of being mindful of public perception and divine observation.

Mumar urged the public to do their part and "choose what is right," stating there is hope for the country.

Broadcast journalists Karen Davila and Maria Ressa praised Mumar for his stance, with Davila commending his "role modeling decency in public service."
