KPop Demon Hunters stars make late-night TV debut, soundtrack hits platinum

EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the singing voices for the hit Netflix animated film "KPop Demon Hunters," made their late-night TV debut performing "Golden" on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon."

The trio, who also star as the idol group HUNTR/X in the film, performed the song live together for the first time while clips from "KPop Demon Hunters" played in the background.

The singers learned that the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack achieved platinum status and has remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight consecutive weeks.

The animated film, which premiered in June, follows K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira, and Zoey who secretly protect fans from supernatural danger using their music.

The film's overwhelming success has been "surreal" for the lead stars, with Audrey Nuna noting her trip to South Korea where she witnessed a street performer playing "Golden" on a traditional instrument, signifying a significant cultural endorsement.

"KPop Demon Hunters" has become the most popular film on Netflix of all time and its soundtrack was the first to enter four simultaneous Top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100.

Additionally, the "KPop Demon Hunters" characters will be released as skins in Fortnite.
