Kitty Duterte thanks supporters, asks them to pray for peace

Veronica "Kitty" Duterte thanked supporters of her father, former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support including overseas Filipino workers.

During a visit to their family residence in Davao City on Sunday, March 23, Kitty urged supporters to prioritize electoral victories over confrontations and continue praying for peace.

She assured that all efforts are being exhausted until her father returns home, and encouraged supporters to take care of themselves.

Her father, former President Duterte, is currently detained at The Hague by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Kitty conveyed that her father is fine and expressed his wish to return home to Davao.

Supporters and volunteers have been gathering nightly at the Duterte residence for prayer ceremonies and candle lighting, and guarding the houses of the former Chief Executive and his children since his arrest on March 11.

The Davao police have denied reports of possible search warrants being issued at their homes.
